The Illinois Valley Bassmasters are proud to offer a B.A.S.S. Casting Kids Competition every year for all youth between the ages of 7-14 years old. Although it is not mandatory for an affiliated Illinois Bass Federation Nation club to host one of these events, The Illinois Valley Bassmasters hold one every year, and at times we’ve actually held two events per year. Whether we are at The Southwest Fishing show in Lockport as we have been in years past, or Bass Pro Shops, or working with The Boy Scouts of America, we always enjoy working with today’s youth and teaching them how to “Flip, Pitch, or Cast”

Scoring is based on a point system. The competitor who scores the most points in his age group wins. Points are determined by where the lure comes to rest on the target.
